Church of Purgatory in Agira
The Church of Purgatory in Agira was built at the behest of the brothers of the homonymous confederation, on a pre-existing church.
The sacred building has a simple gabled façade in squared limestone blocks. The interior, with a single nave, has a barrel vaulted roof with grooves at the windows and ends with an apsidal basin.
Of particular value is the painted majolica flooring dating back to the eighteenth century .
