The necropolis of Realmese in Calascibetta is a prehistoric necropolis in which there are about three hundred cave tombs dating back to the period between the 9th and 8th centuries BC.
Remains of considerable artistic and historical importance have been found on this site, in particular ceramics, artefacts, jewels, small knives, rings, earrings, fibulae, and coins of the same style found in neighboring localities. In fact, in the vicinity of the Necropolis it is believed that a Sicilian village should have arisen from which all the artefacts now preserved in the archaeological museum of Syracuse come from.
