Interdisciplinary Museum of Enna
The Interdisciplinary Regional Museum of Enna is located in the Varisano palace and is also known as Varisano Museum.
The exhibition itinerary develops by presenting the different human settlements present on the hills dell'ennese: finds dating back to settlements of the Bronze Age and the Iron Age located in the locality of Calascibetta; a funerary inscription of a priestess of Ceres shows the importance of the cult in the city of the imperial age found in Enna; finds from the Hellenized Sicilian settlement of Cozzo Matrice, in the area of Lake Pergusa, with sacred areas dating back to the 6th-5th century BC; a series of terracotta of Demeter and Kore from private collections certify the role of this cult in the classical age and during Hellenism; Rossomanno's grave goods, dating back to the 7th century BC; and medieval materials from the castle area and other sites that describe the history of the city in this period.
Inside the exhibition halls a series of important objects are also shown, such as metal jewelery of local tradition , valuable objects such as Greek ceramics and oriental scarabs.
