Branciforti Square in Leonforte
Piazza Branciforti di Leonforte is the Piazza Soprana of the village, located between the palace, the stable and other houses.
It was built in 1611 and represented the aristocratic corner of Leonforte, always animated by carriages and knights. For this reason today it is known with the denomination of Cavallerizza.
Harmonious in its proportions, it was built by Roman and Palermo workers, under the direction of the Enna master builder Vincenzo Gianguzzo. It is framed by the majestic Palace and the Stable. According to the historical archives, the square in its façade had a fountain that no longer exists. Currently there are concerts and events of all kinds; every Tuesday morning it hosts the characteristic market .
