Church of Bianchetto in Licodia Eubea
The Church of Bianchetto in Licodia Eubea constitutes the only testimony of religious architecture still intact among the many that once stood in the countryside of Licodia.
It is a building of great architectural simplicity, built on an octagonal plan, without of bell tower. It was dedicated to the Madonna delle Grazie probably in the eighteenth century. The structure has its entrance facing east and the walls have three openings at the top, equidistant from each other, of a circular shape. Inside, on the back wall, we can see the remains of what remains of an altar with, perhaps, a fresco on it. On the remaining internal walls, relief edges and frames are visible, rectangular in shape, which enclosed frescoes of which visible traces still remain. By chance it was discovered that the date 1768 is engraved on the thickness of the support table placed internally behind the architrave.
