Luigi Capuana House Museum in Mineo
Luigi Capuana's birthplace is located in Palazzo Capuana in Mineo. The museum houses the manuscripts, printed works, the library, furniture and paintings that belonged to the writer Luigi Capuana.
Particularly interesting are the correspondence with contemporary intellectuals and writers, including Ibsen, Balzac, Zola, Verga, D'Annunzio, De Roberto, Pirandello, Graf. Also noteworthy is the archive that testifies to Capuana's activity as a photographer. In the building there are also: the municipal library; the former library of the Capuchin Fathers, with sacred texts from 1500 to 1700; the Rizzo fund, a collection of books and magazines in Esperanto, edited by the prefect Pietro Rizzo.
