Museum of the City and of the Territory of Piazza Armerina
The Museum of the City and the Territory in Piazza Armerina, housed in the Palazzo Trigona, exhibits some collections from the excavations of the archaeological sites in the area, and objects, documents and materials that illustrate the history of the city.
The museum is divided into two floors: the archeology of the area is shown on the mezzanine floor; the first floor houses the exhibition from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century and the immersive room. The set-up includes multimedia equipment: interactive touch-screen tables that allow a historical reading of the different periods.
The museum also hosts several prestigious temporary exhibitions.
