Convent of S. Maria di Gesù in Pietraperzia
The Convent and cloister of Santa Maria di Gesù in Pietraperzia is an important religious complex in the village.
It was built in 1636 thanks to a bequest from the Santigliano sisters.
The convent, of considerable size, over the centuries, it has been enriched with various works of art, sacred furnishings and an important library.
The building is on two floors, in addition to the ground floor used as a cemetery. Inside there is a valuable cloister whose walls were once frescoed with legends about the life of the Franciscans. In the center of the cloister there is a cistern for collecting rainwater.
