Church of Purgatory in Valguarnera
The Church of Purgatory in Valguarnera is a small place of worship located in the historic center of the village.
It was built in 1810. It was rebuilt in 1862 following a collapse in 1854.
The simple facade, in living stone, has a rectangular compositional scheme crowned by a cornice, above which stands the bell gable. In the center opens the portal in white sandstone with a round arch, flanked by pilasters that support a projecting frame. At the top opens a rectangular window.
The interior, with a single nave, has two side chapels and is enriched with stucco dating back to a restoration in 1901.
