The Carnival in Castellana Sicula is known as the Carnevale delle Madonie.
Great involvement of visitors who do not simply "watch" the parade, but "live" it, actively participating and parading together with the groups.
Every year the Carnival of Castellana Sicula fills the streets with dances, dances and parades of allegorical floats and masked groups.
Its origins are relatively recent, it was 1962 when for the first time in Castellana two floats with the masks of Topo Gigio and King Carnevale paraded. Over the years the event has grown and has gained more and more participation and success, and is now considered the most beautiful carnival of the Madonie.
