Historic ride in Tusa
The Historical Cavalcade in Tusa takes place every year on August 15th on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the Patron Saint Maria SS. Assunta.
The Cavalcata has ancient origins and originally saw farmers offering the products of the land to the Madonna as a gesture of devotion.
Today the historic calvalcata of Tusa is an event of great folklore during which it is possible to admire horses, donkeys and mules dressed up for a party and knights in typical Sicilian costume.
During the parade it is also possible to attend performances by local folk groups.
