The feast of the Ascension in Sciacca, known as “La Sceusa”, is a moment in which the most beautiful peasant traditions are recalled.
On Sunday morning there is the Parade of animals adorned with flowers and colored bows and the parade of Sicilian carts , accompanied by folk groups. The blessing of the animals follows.
Various collateral events are also organized, such as parades of vintage cars, sporting and cultural events, musical performances and traditional Sicilian dances.
