Castroreale 700 years with Federico
700 years with Federico is the historical reenactment that takes place in the charming village of Castroreale that recalls the episodes that occurred in 1324: King Federico II of Aragon, also known as Federico III of Sicily, to reward the loyalty of the citizens of Castroreale during the battles of the Sicilian Vespers, names the city Urbs fedelissima, orders the reconstruction of the castle, of which only the tower remains today, and grants it numerous privileges.
On the occasion of the feast day, numerous events are organized: medieval dances, medieval games, historical parade, shows, ...
The area with ancient crafts, the food area are also set up and churches and museums are open to the public.
