Feast of Maria SS of Capo d’Orlando

In Capo d'Orlando, the Feast of the Patron Saint Maria SS. di Capo d’Orlando.
On the feast day, at the first light of dawn, an uninterrupted river of pilgrims on foot climb the mountain symbol of Capo d’Orlando where religious celebrations are held. At the end of the solemn morning celebration we witness the descent of the statue of Maria SS. from the mountain to the town. A procession through the city streets follows in the afternoon.
On the occasion of the celebrations, a large market fair is also organized through the streets of the town.
