Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Caltabellotta

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Caltabellotta takes place on 8 December and is an event rich in faith and tradition.
On the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the Virgin, a rich liturgical calendar is organized which culminates, on the day of the feast, with the Solemn Celebration and the procession of the Simulacrum through the streets of the town. Before the simulacrum returns to the Church of Itria, the traditional burning of the Diavolazzu is set up, a puppet that is burned in the presence of the Immaculate Conception, an act that symbolizes victory of good over evil.
