Feast of Our Lady of Grace in Belpasso
In Belpasso on August 15 the celebrations in honor of the Madonna delle Grazie take place.
On August 14, at dusk, silhouettes are placed in the churchyard in memory of the apostles and saints, and a vigil takes place in the course of which the sixteenth-century simulacrum of the Madonna delle Grazie faces in front of the portal of the church. Each family lights their own torch that burns all night in front of their home. Day 15 the evening procession takes place with the welcome, on return, amidst songs, sounds and figures animated by living characters.
Day 16 a second procession takes place, this time through the streets of the neighborhood, marked by thematic altars set up with living characters.
