Feast of Our Lady of Miracles in Collesano
The Feast of the Madonna dei Miracoli in Collesano, the patron saint of the village, traditionally takes place from 25 to 27 May in memory of a miraculous event which took place on 26 May 1643.
The feast includes a dense liturgical program which culminates with the solemn procession of the painting depicting the Annunciation by the Archangel Gabriel. The painting is carried on the shoulders of the devotees through the streets of the historical centre, accompanied by the band and the crowd of the faithful.
