Feast of the Madonna of Valverde in Valverde

The Feast of the Madonna di Valverde in Valverde is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of August and includes a rich religious calendar and great participation by numerous faithful.
The culminating moments of the feast are the Solemn unveiling of the image of the Madonna, the procession of the Madonna's fercolo through the city streets, the Holy Mass in memory of the apparition of the Virgin in 1040 and the Solemn Eucharistic celebration.
Pilgrimages take place on feast days of faith from the neighboring cities towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Valverde, parades of the band, and grandiose fireworks
