Feast of Maria SS della Mercede in Palermo
The Feast of Maria SS. della Mercede di Palermo takes place on the last Sunday of September in Piazza Sant'Anna ai Lattarini. On the day of the festival, in the afternoon, the solemn procession of the artistic simulacrum of the Madonna takes place, a wooden sculpture of 1790, the work of Girolamo Bagnasco, carved on a single trunk of cypress 210 cm high.
