Feast of the Patron Saints in Trecastagni

In Trecastagni, on 10 May, the celebrations are held in honor of the holy brother martyrs Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino.
At the beginning of the month, pilgrimages to the sanctuary take place on the part of the faithful, some of whom walk barefoot , who carry large candles in their hands as a sign of thanks.
ON the day of the feast there is a suggestive procession during which the relics of the martyr saints are carried through the city streets.
Numerous events are organized during the celebrations : the traditional Music Festival and the cantata in honor of the Holy Martyrs and the pyromusical competition of the city sections of S. Alfio, Tondo and Collegiata.
