Feast of the Signuruzzu in Pergusa

In Enna, at the village of Pergusa, the celebrations in honor of the Holy Crucifix take place on the first Sunday of May. The feast is locally known as the feast of the "Signuruzzu du lacu", that is the "Lord of the lake".
In the afternoon of the feast day, the traditional procession of the Crucifix takes place through the districts of Pergusa with the celebration of mass and with the solemn blessing of the lake waters. On the occasion of the festivities, various recreational activities are organized, such as traditional folk games and entertainment shows.
