Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Bisacquino

The Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Bisacquino, also known as the Feast Du Tri di Maio, i.e. the feast of May 3rd, is an important religious event for the village.
It is a feast very ancient, from historical documents it is known that the first procession took place in 1792, the year in which the artistic vara carried in procession was created, the work of Giuseppe Bellacera.
According to tradition, on the day of the feast, they are gathered in the Church Mother thirty-two statues of Saints, coming from the churches of the various neighborhoods of Bisacquino, which pay homage to the Crucified Christ placed on the artistic vara. The statues are then carried in procession followed by the Simulacrum of the Crucified Christ. At the end of the procession, in front of the Mother Church, the statues of Saint Joseph and the Madonna flank the Most Holy Crucifix to receive the bow from the simulacra of the Saints gathered in the square.
