Feast of the SS. Crucifix in Castelbuono

The festival in honor of the SS. Crucifix in Castelbuono is celebrated in the month of September and takes place in the parish of Sant'Antonino Martire which houses the valuable 17th century Crucifix sculpted by Friar Umile Pitorna.
The rich religious program culminates, on the day of the celebration, with the Solemn Procession through the streets of the town with a prayer stop in the main squares, followed by the Holy Mass in the presence of the civil, military and religious authorities.
During the celebrations, a rich recreational program also takes place with concerts, musical shows and entertainment.
