Feast of the Holy Crucifix in Favignana
In Favignana, on 14 September the SS Crocifisso is celebrated, the patron saint of the island. Every year, on the occasion of the anniversary, a rich program of events is proposed that take up an entire week.
Day 14 September, a day dedicated to the SS. Crucifix, the day opens with the traditional tour of the band through the streets of the town. In the afternoon, at the end of the Eucharistic celebration in the Mother Church, the traditional procession of the patron saint starts from Piazza Matrice which will end with the evocative fireworks display at Molo San Leonardo.
