Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix in Montelepre
The Patronal Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix in Montelepre is celebrated between the end of June and the beginning of July. It is a festival deeply felt by the entire population and every year it also attracts many emigrants who, for the occasion, return to their country of origin.
The festival includes a busy liturgical program which culminates, on the feast day , with the procession of the simulacrum of the Holy Crucifix, set on a wooden cross in walnut, which remains exposed on the main altar of the Mother Church throughout the year.
