Feast of SS Ecce Homo in Piraino

The Feast of the SS Ecce Homo in Piraino takes place in the month of October and is the most heartfelt and most attended celebration by the community.
On the eve of the feast the procession of the simulacrum of Baby Jesus to the Rosary takes place which, accompanied by a crowd of children with torches and flowers in their hands is led to the church of the Rosary and placed in the lap of the Madonna. This is followed by the procession that accompanies the Simulacrum of the Madonna del Rosario up to the Sanctuary of Ecce Homo, for the reunion with the Son.
On the day of the celebrations, the simulacrum of the SS. Ecce Homo is placed on an artistic launch and carried on the shoulders through the streets of the historic center accompanied by the Simulacrum of the Madonna del Rosario.
On the day of the octave the procession winds through the Sopra le Mura neighborhood and near the Tower The Solemn Blessing of the Country takes place in Saracen.
During the festive days there is also a rich program of events with musical, folkloristic and entertainment shows
