The Transhumance Festival of Geraci Siculo is an event with a strong tourist attraction because it offers the opportunity to witness the ancient ritual of transhumance: to the sound of the bell, dozens and dozens of shepherds with their heads of cattle, from their districts, gather in Geraci Siculo and then move towards the highest pastures of Sicily.
It is the event that marks the beginning of summer for the Geraci farmers.
On the occasion of this event, numerous collateral events are organised: guided visits to livestock farms in the area, themed conferences and tastings of typical local products.
