Archaeological Film Festival in Licodia Eubea
The Festival of Archaeological Communication and Cinema in Licodia Eubea takes place in October and is the only international film festival dedicated to the historical, archaeological and ethno-anthropological cinema of Sicily.
The festival aims to disseminate the Ancient through the visual arts.
During the film festival, a rich program of events is organized: film screenings, meetings with the authors, conversations with museum operators, photographic exhibitions and installations created by Sicilian artists, masterclasses in directing and journalism , screening of silent films from the 1910s with live music, workshops for teenagers and children.
Some collateral events are also planned, such as guided visits to the “Antonino Di Vita” Civic Museum and excursions within the area, which allow to discover this rich territory and its archaeological, monumental, historical and naturalistic assets.
