Infiorata di Braidi a Montalbano Elicona
Infiorata di Braidi, a hamlet of Montalbano Elicona is a suggestive Infiorata with Night Luminaria. Along the main street of the town of Braidi, via Messina, a fragrant floral carpet is set up which comes alive at sunset with the evocative night lights.
The 2023 edition of the Braidi flower festival takes on a new and original, with a social as well as artistic value. To cover the road surface, for the first time, will be a long carpet of wool flowers, skilfully made by the hands of the women (and also the men) of Braidi and the neighboring municipalities, such as Falcone, Basicò , Tripi, Patti, San Piero Patti, Bafia (Castroreale). It is a real solidarity chain that has made it possible to create the largest carpet of wool flowers ever. It covers an area of about 72 square meters and is made up of over 50,000 roses.
