Holy Week in Palma di Montechiaro: on Holy Thursday the traditional procession of Our Lady of Sorrows takes place through the streets of the town; on Good Friday the procession towards Calvary takes place; On Easter Sunday the traditional Scontru takes place between the simulacra of the Risen Christ and the Madonna: the statues, carried on the shoulders of the brothers of the Blessed Sacrament and the Blessed Rosary, every year they head towards the Benedictine Monastery, where, in front of the crowd of devotees gathered to watch, the meeting between the two simulacra takes place.
