Easter in Zafferana Etnea
On the occasion of Easter in Zafferana Etnea, various rites rich in faith and tradition take place.
On the day of Palm Sunday, the re-enactment of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem takes place followed by the blessing of the palms and the traditional procession through the streets of the town.
On Good Friday, after the evocative procession of the Dead Christ, it is tradition to set up the Sepulcher of the Dead Christ.
In on the occasion of Easter, the traditional Cuddure ccu l'ovo are also prepared and blessed and distributed on holiday days.
