Living Nativity in Mineo

During the Christmas period Mineo transforms into a nativity scene, to let the visitor experience all the charm of Christmas. The return of the living nativity scene will be accompanied by 20 artistic nativity scenes located in the streets of the historic center, the House of Santa Claus in a new location; there will also be a food area where you can taste traditional local products.

The living nativity scene of Mineo transforms the village into a "town of memory", where the streets come alive with typical characters reproduced in customs, gestures and speeches of a distant time. Habits and customs of a distant time and ancient crafts come back to life in homes and ancient artisan workshops.
The original medieval urban structure favors an evocative scenographic reconstruction of the nativity scene, which presents a succession of rooms that open to the outside domestic environments, cellars, stables and shops.
The atmosphere is made even more magical by the smells and flavors of traditional dishes, made with typical local products.
