Valderice Living Nativity

The living Nativity scene of Valderice, the Bible in the Park, takes place in the suggestive scenery of the Parco Urbano di Misericordia illuminated only with the light of torches. The characteristic of this nativity scene, which makes it unique in Sicily and throughout Italy, is the fact that it tells the facts of the Bible through a long journey of living pictures.
The Valderice nativity scene is in fact made up of ten living pictures with more than eighty figures in period costume who stage episodes in the old and new testament.
During the visit of the crib it is possible to taste typical local products such as a hot soup made with local products and the traditional spinach.
To access La Bibbia nel Parco, a free shuttle bus service is usually active, with a stop in the open space of Via Lazio (at the intersection with the SS187). To participate, it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes. The duration of the route is 30 minutes.
