Baroque parade in Noto
The Baroque Spring Festival in Noto takes place on the third Sunday of May. It is an event that celebrates the arrival of spring and the return to life following the earthquake in the Val di Noto that destroyed the ancient town. On the occasion of the event there are events, concerts, artisan exhibitions. Parades of vintage carriages, flowered floats, a historical procession in eighteenth-century period costumes, musicians and flag-wavers move along the main street, greeting the arrival of spring, represented on a large float. The events culminate with the Infiorata di Noto.
