Passion of Christ in Caccamo

In the historic center of the village of Caccamo, on the occasion of the celebrations for Holy Easter in Caccamo , the sacred representation of the Passion of Christ takes place with the participation of numerous Caccamesi figures.

10:00 Start of the “U Signuruzzu a cavaddu” procession with the “Musical band” and the “Flag-wavers Group” of the City of Caccamo.

10:45 Arrival of the procession, blessing and continuation of the procession through the city streets.

11:30 Arrival of the procession, blessing and continuation of the procession towards Piazza Duomo.

12:00 Arrival of the procession in Piazza Duomo, blessing of the Palms and Solemn Mass.

Throughout the day, guided tours of the Castle, with musical entertainment, the medieval village, the Cathedral, the Church of S. Benedetto alla Badia, the Church of S. Moria degli Angeli, the Church of SS. Annunziata and tasting of typical products.

Entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem.
Prayer at Gethsemane.
