Festival of Bread and Wine in Lipari
On the island of Lipari, in the locality of Pianoconte, the Bread and Wine Festival takes place in November, the oldest festival of the Aeolian Islands. The days of the festival are characterized by dancing evenings with music and costumes of the folk peasant tradition, games and various cultural and anthropological entertainment, food and wine tastings of typical local products, demonstrations and exercises relating to old crafts such as grape pressing, preparation of homemade bread with a wood oven and durum wheat flour as per tradition, and other grievances of ancient crafts.
