Festival of Provola Basicotana in Basicò
Sagra della Provola Basicotana in Basicò takes place every year in August and is one of the oldest festivals in Sicily.
The festival aims to promote the Basicò caciocavallo, produced on the Nebrodi Mountains, appreciated and known throughout Sicily.
On the occasion of the gastronomic event, stands are set up where you can taste the basicotana provola and other typical local products, and folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows are organised.
