Salt Festival in Petralia Soprana
The Salt Festival in Petralia Soprana takes place every year in August and celebrates the salt from the Petralia Soprana rock salt deposit, one of the richest in Europe.
It is a very high quality salt , composed of more than 99.4% of sodium chloride.
On the occasion of the festival, organized by the Raffo Sport Club, all visitors will be given the rock salt of Petralia Soprana, which is more than 6 million years old, and tasting tours, folkloristic and musical events will be organised.
