Schiticchio Festival in San Piero Patti

The Autumn Schiticchio Festival in San Piero Patti takes place in November, on the occasion of the feast of San Martino, and celebrates an ancient and traditional dish of the village: Schiticchio.< br>The term Schiticchio, which originally indicated a moment of rest, has today acquired the meaning of small meal which must be consumed, as per tradition, together with friends and family .
On the occasion of the festival, gastronomic events and wine cellars are set up where you can taste typical autumn products such as chestnuts, hazelnuts, pumpkins, local specialities, accompanied by oil and new wine.
During the festive days, numerous events are also organised. events: guided tours, market of 0 km products, market of local craft products, entertainment for children, the historical re-enactment of the coming of Frederick IV of Aragon to San Piero Patti, musical, folkloristic and entertainment shows.

The Spring Schiticchio Festival in San Piero Patti takes place in the month of May and presents the knowledge, flavours, dishes and traditions of the village in a spring guise. It is a further event dedicated to culture and good food, an opportunity to savor the delicacies of the season and discover the wild flavors that Spring offers.
