Vastedda festival in Troina
The Festival of Vastedda cu Sammucu in Troina celebrates a gastronomic excellence of this village, the Vastedda cu Sammucu, today a Slow Food Presidium.
The Vastedda cu Sammucu is a sort of focaccia flavored with elderberry flowers.< br>On the occasion of the gastronomic event, numerous stands are set up where it is possible to taste the traditional vastedda di Troina together with typical products and preparations of the area. Stands are also set up with local handicraft products, folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows are organised.
