Settimana Federiciana ad Enna
Every year, in the month of May, the Federiciana Week takes place in Enna. The event brings the highest capital of Italy back to 1200, in the glorious years of the government of Emperor Frederick II who chose Enna as his summer residence.
The Federiciana Week celebrates the figure of Frederick II of Swabia, the various districts are animated with daily and evening events through conferences, lectures, medieval team games, medieval markets, archery tournaments, the Palio dei Quartieri , artistic exhibitions, the great historical procession of the court and the knights, the historical re-enactment of the arrival of Frederick II in Castrogiovanni, tastings of ancient flavors, guided tours and musical performances.
