Flush of San Giuseppe in Modica

The Flush of San Giuseppi takes place in Modica on the evening of March 19, on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of San Giuseppe. It is a large pyre from which high flames rise. According to tradition, bread seasoned with oil, salt and oregano is tasted and the altar of St. Joseph made with traditional breads is set up.
