Cala Levante in Pantelleria
Cala Levante in Pantelleria is a descent to the sea that precedes the famous Arco dell’Elefante di Pantelleria, located under the town of Khamma / Tracino. It is a small harbor sheltered from the mistral wind. A large rocky ridge separates it from Cala Tramontana. The two shield each other: if the wind blows from the northwest the waters of cala Levante are calm, vice versa if the wind blows from the south east it is the waters of cala Tramontana that are calm.
From this stretch of coast it is possible admire splendid dawns with the sun rising from the sea between the scenic Faraglione and the artistic forms of the Arco dell'Elefante.
The beach is also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
