Pantesco Garden of Donnafugata
The Panteschi Gardens are typical constructions of the island of Pantelleria, born with the aim of protecting the plants from strong winds that blow on the island in every season. They are made of lava stone with dry stone walls and have a circular plan. Depending on the function and their use, they can reach up to three meters in height. Inside there are citrus trees, vines, or dates.
The Pantesco Garden of Donnafugata is considered the most spectacular Pantelleria garden of the whole island of Pantelleria. Inside are kept centenary zibibbo plants.
