Caper Museum in Pantelleria
The Caper Museum in Pantelleria is a museum dedicated to the caper of Pantelleria and more generally to the agricultural and peasant culture of the island. It is located in an old dammuso from the early twentieth century and is divided into an exhibition and experiential room, an audiovisual room and a room with a photographic exhibition. It also has some architectural elements linked to the agricultural tradition in its exteriors, including a stinniture , that is a drying rack for drying grapes, and a furniddu , that is a stone stove always used for grape drying. The set-up is made with ancient agricultural tools used by Pantelleria peasants to collect capers and work the land.
