Palumbo Dock in Alicudi
The Scalo Palumbo, the only landing point, represents the center of the island.
The landing takes place at the new Scalo Palumbo pier, built in 1990, which replaced the old small pier. Before the construction of the new pier, the unloading operations took place thanks to the seafaring technique called rollo : the ship was reached by a small rowing boat that loaded people and goods on board and then landed on land. br> Adjacent to the port area there are some shops selling basic necessities.
