Lisca Nera in Panarea
Lisca Nera in Panarea is a rock off the coast of Panarea which represents, together with the numerous nearby rocks, what remains of ancient volcanic vents belonging to the Panarea apparatus, formed about 130,000 years ago.
Lisca Nera appears today as a tiny rock that emerges from the surface of the water. Atmospheric agents have eroded this rock with particular speed and have thus erased the few forms of life present and the traces of a past human presence.
