Santa Margherita di Belice rises between hills and expanses of wheat, vines and prickly pears.
It was founded in 1572 by Baron Antonio Corbera on the ruins of the ancient farmhouse Menzil-el-Sindi.
Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, author of the famous "Leopard", defining it as the lost and earthly paradise of his childhood.
