The Cala di Mare Morto in Lampedusa, located to the north east of the inhabited center of the island, is one of the largest bays on the island. It is a large rocky inlet consisting of a cliff that is sometimes accessible, and is suitable for windy days because the sea is always calm, a characteristic that gave the cove its name dead sea.
The beach offers numerous services and is connected to the city center by a public connection service.
