Punta Sottile in Lampedusa
Punta Sottile in Lampedusa is the southernmost point in Europe. It is a narrow, long and low rocky tongue whose end is submerged. This strip of land is so low that at night it becomes very dangerous for navigation: you can see the lights beyond Punta Sottile and this gives the impression of having free water in front of you. The area is dominated by the presence of an establishment where amberjacks are raised. There are no beaches and it is advisable to reach it by sea.
